Text Box: While travelling through Bali, I came across a group of young craftsmen willing to teach me Filigree and Granulation work. I spent the entire day in their outdoor 'studio' and had a blast. They use minimal tools and I mean very minimal...one hammer, one pair of pliers... a torch that needs a foot pump.....you have to pump your feet to control the flame. I'm very humbled by the kind of intricate work they produce with so few tools.
